About Us

Michael Work & Associates was established in 1988 first opening offices in Los Angeles, with our Miami Beach office opening in 2001. The firm has extensive experience representing aliens with “extraordinary abilities” in the arts, athletics, business, entertainment, and the sciences, and has represented many individuals, foreign investors, traders, and multinational corporations with various immigrant and nonimmigrant visa matters, including employment-based nonimmigrant visa petitions (e.g., H-1B, E and L visas), family-based visa petitions and PERM-based immigrant petitions.

Our Practice Areas

Michael Work & Associates represents foreign nationals and companies to plan, petition, and gain entry to the U.S. for a multitude of purposes on a temporary or permanent basis.

Extraordinary Ability

Our attorneys have extensive experience filing extraordinary ability petitions in the sciences, arts, education, business, athletics, motion picture and television industry.

Citizenship

Naturalization is the process to become a U.S. citizen if you were born outside of the United States. If you meet certain requirements, you may become a U.S. citizen either at birth or after birth.

Permanent Residence

We assist intended employers and individuals in the planning, documenting, labor certification, petitioning, and final permanent residence granting process in all employment and family based categories.

Nonimmigrant Visas

Those that wish to enter the US temporarily must utilize a “nonimmigrant visa”. The types of visas are for various defined temporary purposes identified by letters “A” to “V”. Temporary may be as short a time as one day, or for a number of years depending on the particular category.
